On Sunday, October 21st, the Penn Club of Houston and the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design are proud to welcome Louis Kahn’s son, the filmmaker Nathaniel Kahn, to Houston for an exclusive screening of his Academy Award nominated film My Architect, a thoughtful and moving investigation of the life and work of his famous father.
This unique gathering will begin with a pre-film reception in a contemporary work of architecture, Virginia Point, Houston’s first LEED Platinum residence. Virginia Point has been recognized among the nation’s premier examples of environmental design.
Please join us for this special event which will combine aspects of art and architecture, business and politics, environmentalism, and public policy, around that rich legacy of liberal arts, which is uniquely Penn. This will be an opportunity to learn more of Penn’s far-reaching effect in the world and of Penn’s profound contemporary impact on the local environs of Houston, Texas.
